Privacy Policy for Napalm Applications
Last Updated: June 2026
Napalm Applications LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use TallyHome: Household Balance (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Additional Apps produced by Napalm Applications will be covered under separate or updated policies as they become available.
Information We Collect
When you register for an account, we collect personal identifiers including your name, email address, and a unique user ID (UID). This information is used to manage your account, facilitate household collaboration, and provide personalized services. Login credentials are managed securely via Firebase Authentication.
To provide the core functionality of TallyHome, we collect data you provide about your household, including task responsibilities, effort scores, work logs, daily energy entries, and weekly check-ins. This data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and is accessible only to verified members of your designated household.
We collect your device's Expo Push Token to deliver in-app notifications. This token is stored in Firestore and associated with your account.
To support offline functionality, data may be briefly cached on your device and synced to our servers when connectivity is restored.
We do not collect analytics data or usage statistics — we do not track which screens you use, how often you open the App, or any other behavioral data. If usage analytics features are introduced in a future update, this policy will be updated before those changes take effect and you will be notified.
We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports when the App encounters an unexpected error. This helps us identify and fix bugs. Crash reports do not include your household data, task content, or check-in responses.
How We Use Your Information
To provide and maintain the service: Managing your household data and ensuring synchronized access across devices.
To facilitate collaboration: Allowing household members to view assigned tasks, load balance scores, and check-in history.
To process payments: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. We do not store payment card information directly. All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
To deliver notifications: Notifying you of task assignments, rebalance suggestions, partner activity, and check-in reminders.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
Data you input — including tasks, check-ins, and energy logs — is visible to other verified members of your household. We share information with third-party service providers only to the extent necessary for them to deliver their services:
Google Cloud Platform (Firebase): Database storage, authentication, cloud functions, and crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics). .
RevenueCat: Subscription management and purchase verification.
Expo: Push notification delivery.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Data Security
We implement security measures provided by Firebase, including Firestore Security Rules that restrict data access to verified household members only. Household data is scoped so that only users explicitly added to a household can read or write that household's records.
As of 7/17/2026, household data you create — including tasks, check-ins, and related content — is encrypted at rest. Encryption keys are managed server-side to support core app functionality, such as Auto-Rebalance and Balance Suggestions. Household data created prior to this date is not affected by this change.
No method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights and Choices
You may update your profile information at any time within the App. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data using the "Delete Account" feature within the App, or by contacting us through our support form. Account deletion removes your data from Firestore and, where you are the sole real member of a household, deletes the household and all associated records.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Material changes — such as the introduction of new data collection practices — will be communicated before taking effect.
